Our Dumb Waiter Elevator is a compact, self-contained service lift designed to quietly and efficiently transport small goods between floors without occupying passenger elevator capacity or requiring manual carrying between levels. An essential fixture in restaurants, hotels, hospitals, libraries, multi-storey offices, and luxury residences, the SJE dumb waiter brings reliability, hygiene, and precise control to this time-tested concept.
Dumb waiters are most commonly used for food and beverage transport between kitchen and dining areas, but their utility extends to laundry, documents, pharmacy supplies, soiled linen, retail merchandise, and office materials. Cabin sizes range from small formats to configurations capable of carrying full meal trays, document cartons, or linen trolleys. Available from 100 kg to 300 kg capacity, serving 2 to 10 floors.
The interior is constructed from 304-grade stainless steel — easy to clean, hygienic, odour-resistant, and moisture-proof. Door mechanisms can be manual swing-type or electrically operated with automatic opening. Both traction (cable) and hydraulic drive options are available. Door interlocks prevent movement unless all shaft doors are properly closed. Whisper-quiet operation ensures the lift never intrudes on the dining or work environment.
